Album Review: Lil Wayne & DJ Drama – Dedication 3

Weezy released a new mixtape to the world this week, Dedication 3.  If you want the dish click the jump…

Okay so the bottom line is this mixtape ain’t nothin’ compared to Da Drought 3. Now that’s coming from me, who only wants to hear Lil Wayne spit metaphor after simile for an entire album. That is what astonishes me about Lil Wayne and, sadly, there’s not much of that on here at all. Dedication 3 is more of a showcase for Young Money Entertainment than it is an outlet for Lil Wayne to spit rhymes and drop knowledge/hilarity.

Personally, I am very particular about the hip-hop I listen too, and this mixtape doesn’t hit the right chord. On the other hand, if you’re down with auto-tune, make sure you get all over this one! Weezy is lovin’ it.

Dedication 3 features apprearances by Mack Maine, Willie The Kid, Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz, Lil Twist, Tyga, Nicki Manaj, LA The Darkman, Drake, and The Game.

Highlights include “Still I Rise” with Nicki Manaj and “Stuntin’” with Drake.
